We pray, may Allah SWT,forgive her short comings, make his grave fill with noor and grant him Jannah-tul Ferdaous.
After a person passes, three things benefit him in grave, a) His good children by making Dua, b) his good actions like spreading knowledge, c) Sadaqa-e-jarai, like building masjid, hospital or school or donating to a waqaf foundation.
Holy Quran says, “Every soul will taste of death. And you will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which you have fairly earned. Who is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion.” (Al Qur’an 3:185).
May Allah SWT reward the the brother , for the good deeds, forgive him and accord the highest place in Jannat ul firdaus.
We also ask of Allah to give Sabr Jamil (beautiful patience) to the family and to us all guidance to the Right Path. Ameen!

Let us prepare ourselves (Surah 3, Al-E-Imran)
Every soul will taste of death. And you will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which you have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion. (3: 185)
We need to plan and prepare for the house where we will stay thousands and thousands of years compared to our transit house of less then 100 years.
