Are you looking for a fun environment for your girl(s) to learn new skills and make friends? Let them join the SNMC Girl Guides of Canada!
We are the only unit in Ottawa adopting the Girl Guides of Canada program with an Islamic approach. Being a girl guide allows girls to be involved in their community while also being part of an international sisterhood of guiding. Our trained volunteers work hard to facilitate activities that are fun and educational.
Since our unit launched in 2015, girls have learned to set-up their own tents and build a campfire, went snowshoeing and hiking through a forest trail, and helped collect food items for a local food bank. We hope you will join us on our next adventures.
We offer:
Weekly meetings with dynamic discussions, skills development, interactive games, and crafts.
Field trips
Sleepovers
