Almighty God reminds us in the Qur’an:
ادْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guide).” (An Nahl 16:125)
God knows what we express to others and what we conceal from others, He knows what is in our hearts!
I.LEAD is an annual conference organized by Muslim Organizations of Ottawa. This year’s I.LEAD will be on March 17th in the EY Centre and bazaar reservations are now open. We have some exciting speakers lined up and expect a lot of people to come.

AlFurqan Quran school started operation in 2003 with 1663 students in its after-school programs. Its aim was to teach the Holy Quran with precise pronunciation, using the rules of tajweed within a nurturing Islamic environment suited for children in the Canadian context. Due to significant and consistently growing interest in the high-quality programs, the school has grown and now serves more than 350 students in two branches. More advanced students have been able to transfer to the school’s full-time elementary program to complete memorization of the entire Quran. Among the graduates of the full-time program, many have received certifications (ijazas) from Sheikh AbulQuds, an acclaimed holder of certifications in 10 qirat (major methods of quran recitatins).
The first annual fundraiser dinner will not only help the school raise funds to continue to grow to meet the community needs in the best possible way but it will also provide an enjoyable evening to help inspire community members, parents, family, and children. Further details are included in the attached poster.

In this article, I like to highlight the progress of Ottawa- Gatineau Muslims identity and visibility from 1996 to 2018.
Compared to 1996, Muslims are well organized as institutions, programs, and activities today. In 2016, Muslims under UMO-OG (United Muslim Organizations -Ottawa- Gatineau) had a reception in Parliament with 20 elected federal Muslim MPs and half a dozen federal ministers. In return, 30 federal MPs Ramadan hosted a multicultural iftar event for over 600 Muslims in parliament in the same year. Also, Muslims under UMO-OG organized the ILEAD (Islam Learn Engage Achieve and Develop) conference with 3,000 attendees.
Politicians at all levels attended events organized by different Muslim organizations and masjids; indicating growing influence of Muslims in politics and elections.
In addition, Halal food items are available in all major mainstream groceries and hijab-clad Muslim women are visible in workplaces, shops, bus, trains, schools, colleges, and universities. Further, private, high tech, business, govt institutions, and airports are starting to provide Muslim praying places.
Abū ʻAbdillāh Muḥammad ibn Yazīd Ibn Mājah was a scholar of hadith of Persian[1] origin. He compiled the list of Sunni Islam‘s six canonical hadith collections, Sunan Ibn Mājah.
Ibn Mājah was born in Qazwin, the modern-day Iranian province of Qazvin, in 824 CE/209 AH.
The Sunan IbnBaza consists 4,000 aḥādīth in 32 books divided into 1,500 chapters.
