The presentation aims to provide a brief overview of Muslims in Bangladesh, focusing on the social structure, cultural norms, and economic aspects of the third-largest Muslim country in the world.

About the speaker: Nazrul Islam Kazi, PhD in Economics.
Dr. Nazrul Kazi was born and raised in Bangladesh. In 1990, after completing his master’s degree in economics, he joined as a lecturer at Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh. Later, he completed his master’s degree in the USA and PhD in Canada and became a faculty member at the University of New Brunswick. Since 2002, he has been working and offering training courses at Statistics Canada. He is keen on learning Islamic Economics and doing research in this field.
