we see our aging parents, relatives, friends here or back home gone, Covid-19 or no Covid-19. We also see others gone; some are young, or some are middle aged.
Let us see the wisdom of Allah swt for human beings to be ready for his or her destiny.
In surah Al-Zumar, Ayah 39,42, Allah swt comes death with sleep,
We have all heard and some of us seen, some of our friends went to bed at night, and the next morning he did not wake up from sleep..
Also, He (SWT) assigns different time spans for different human beings..
39:42 ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَٱلَّتِى لَمْ تَمُتْ فِى مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ ٱلَّتِى قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
˹It is˺ Allah ˹Who˺ calls back the souls ˹of people˺ upon their death as well as ˹the souls˺ of the living during their sleep. Then He keeps those for whom He has ordained death and releases the others until ˹their˺ appointed time. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect. (39.42)
As we can see, Allah swt takes some early and some later and He says, this is a sign for human beings to reflect.
During SNMC funeral services, we observed, for every 100, only 1/3 crosses 60+, 1/3 between 40 to 60 and another 1/3 below 40 including teens, and children.
Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) had 63 years and it is said our life spans only 50, 60, or 70 and statistics shows, only 6% crosses 65+
May Allah swt make it easy that we leave in a state when He swt is pleased with us and we are also pleased with Him. Ameen
