The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah is an opportunity for Muslims to receive innumerable blessings. As such Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these days.
Here are a couple of things to do on these days;
a- Fasting, 9 days or at least on the Arafa day
b- Remembrance of Allah Recite the takbir (Allahu Akbar), tahmid (Alhamdulillah) and tahlil (la illaha illa Allah) as often as possible.
c- Performing the Umrah or Hajj
d- Sacrifice: Here in Canada and back home
e- Doing charity
