Malik (r) narrated that the Prophet (S) said: “I have been sent to perfect good character.” (Imam Malik)
عَنْ مَالِك أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بُعِثْتُ لِأُتَمِّمَ حُسْنَ الْأَخْلَاقِ
Our duty, therefore, is to model for our children, in every way we can, that God’s standards are unquestionably above our own human standards and constructs.

A MUST READ FOR PARENTS “ON PARENTING”!!!
Abu Huraira (r) narrated that the Prophet (S) reminded us of the people who will be in the shade of the Creator on the Day when the other shade will not be and among them is “a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah.”
وَشَابٌّ نَشَأَ بِعِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ
Source: Bukhari, Muslim
Transliteration: “Shabbun Nasha’a Fi ‘Ibadatillahi ‘Azza Wa Jall.”
As parents, we should maintain as much as possible a pure Islamic atmosphere in our homes so that our children are raised as individuals who know, recognize and worship the Creator…the children who will be aware of the Creator wherever they are!

We are all new generation immigrants in Canada. But this country belongs to indigenous people, first nations. European nationals were the first settlers. We all must learn the history of Canada, especially the stores of first nations.
Great injustices were done to native Canadians by European settlers. We new immigrants must take the issues of first nations, the native indigenous people as our own. We must learn about their culture, lives, education and religion.

Day 234
Abu Huraira (r) narrated that the Prophet (S) said: “Every child is born in the Fitrah (the innate nature, original disposition or the state of purity, innocence) and then his/her parents make him/her a Jew, or a Christian, or Magian.”
فَإِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ إِلَّا يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ أَوْ يُنَصِّرَانِهِ أَوْ يُمَجِّسَانِهِ

Day 233
Abu Dharr (r) asked the Prophet (S) to instruct him (r) and the Prophet (S) told him: “Speak the truth, even if it is bitter!” (Shu’ab Al Iman)
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلِ الْحَقَّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُرًّا ٍ
Source: Shu’ab Al Iman
Transliteration: “Qulil Haqqa Wa Law Kana Murra!”
If we would like to predict a success of a failure of our nation (Canada), we just have to look into our nation’s attitude towards our children (all children), including the Indigenous children – the children of the Land!
