Day 269: Muslim Faith and Restorative Justice!

Anas ibn Malik (r) narrated that the Prophet (S) said: “None of you has true faith until he/she loves for his/her brother/sister what he/she loves for himself/herself.”

لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ

Day 270: Sha’ban: The Blessed Time to prepare for Ramadan!

Narrated by Usamah ibn Zayd (r) that he said to the Prophet (S):

“O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting any month as much as you fast during Sha’ban.” The Prophet (S) said, “It is a month people neglect between the months of Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which the deeds are raised to the Lord of the worlds and I like for my deeds to be raised while I am fasting.”

عن أُسَامَة بْن زَيْد قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَرَكَ تَصُومُ شَهْرًا مِنْ الشُّهُورِ مَا تَصُومُ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ قَالَ ذَلِكَ شَهْرٌ يَغْفُلُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ بَيْنَ رَجَبٍ وَرَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ شَهْرٌ تُرْفَعُ فِيهِ الْأَعْمَالُ إِلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ عَمَلِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ

Source: Nasa’i (Fair Hadith or Hasan, according to Al Albani)

We are very happy to announce that for the first time since the pandemic started, SNMC is looking forward to hosting the Youth Night Sleepover for boys aged 14+.

It will take place this upcoming weekend, starting at 8:00 PM on Saturday March 12th to 6:30 AM on Sunday March 13th, 2022.

This will be an exciting event that will include basketball, soccer, video games, ping pong, food and much more!

Testing by the Almighty

We are all used to writing/giving tests for different purposes. Testing normally assesses our capacity for different things. We all like to know the purpose and results of the tests.

Allah swt has honored the children of Adam AHS and he has sent each one of us with a great mission

He SWT, states in Surah Al Momin, Ayah 115,

23:115

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ عَبَثًۭا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ ١١٥

Did you then think that We had created you without purpose? and that you would never be returned to Us?”
