Dear Community Members;
Canadian Blood Services is calling upon communities all across Canada to GIVE LIFE by donating blood. To hospital patients and their families, there is no better gift. A blood donation can’t be bought or wrapped up to be placed under the tree. It comes from a selfless donor who represents a lifeline and hope to patients in need.
In Ottawa and area, only 4% of the eligible population donates blood at least once a year.
More blood donors are needed over the holidays because every minute of every day, someone in Canada will need a blood transfusion.
