WHAT: Lecture – “Virtue of time: reflections from surah al-Asr”

WHEN: Friday night, March 16th – 7:30 pm (after ‘Magrib prayer SHARP)

WHERE: SNMC Masjid/Mosque

Sr. Razia Hamidi is passionate about inspiring positive grassroots change in our communities. As a community activist, leader, and student of knowledge, Sr. Razia gives motivational talks across Canada. Sr. Razia has delivered various workshops, lectures, and keynote speeches at conferences and universities. She has made numerous television and radio appearances, like CBC and CTV, on topics of human rights and Islamophobia as a representative of NCCM.

Sr. Razia holds a degree in Educational philosophy and psychology. She is completing her counseling credentials with a focus on couples counseling. She has helped develop youth programs across Canada at a national and local level. She’s been a leader in the Montreal Muslim community working on grassroots initiatives and outreach and has served on various boards within the Muslim community. She is a project manager with DiscoverU and a consultant for non-profit organizations.

Sr. Razia focuses on the topic of self-development, leadership, and living a God-Centered life. She lives in Montreal with her husband and has called Montreal home for the last 8 years.
