Ottawa Police Launch Recruitment of Youth to Join Youth Advisory Committee

(Ottawa)—Ottawa Police Service is launching its annual recruitment for its Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and is now accepting applications. Until September 15, young people ages 13-24 can apply online at ottawapolice.ca/yac.
YAC brings a youth voice to policing and gives youth the opportunity to share ideas and work with police on initiatives and projects that matter to Ottawa youth. YAC members build relationships with police and other youth, gain skills and training, and are provided with food, bus tickets and other perks.
